Course Learning Outcome #4

“Develop and engage in the collaborative and social aspects of writing processes.”
In this class we learned that engineers not only need to write, they also need to develop and engage in collaborative social aspects of writing. In this course, a lot of the time classmates were able to communicate with each other in discussion groups. Students would be able to comment on each other’s assignments and give feedback to improve their writing. A lot of this communication took place on Blackboard and sometimes on different platforms of social media.
Throughout this course, the social aspect of writing was always prominent. Being able to communicate with one another to discuss our assignments has broadened my perspective. In this class I learned to welcome working together because having meaningful communication can increase the motivation in group members and create an efficient workplace.
